Recently I thought I’d read ALL of your website but a couple of days ago I found old letters in Italian (old letters in English were read a long time ago in their entirety) – they make for a very interesting read!
My question is, do you still consider CF7200 the best of all Grundig tape decks? I just saw it for sale here in Moscow hence asking. The reason I have a tape deck is I’ve a few cassettes in my collection – many musicians, particularly in creative jazz area, tend to issue stuff on tapes, sometimes not available on CD or LP. If I get a full CCI deck I’ll be happy to sell my (very beautiful) Marantz 5010.

For my ear the best tape deck Grundig are the cf7200 and the older cn930… however, they need the replacement of a couple of gears (you can usually find them on ebay) which break systematically after years.
