I was browsing your amazing web site to get an useful information about Grundig speakers, then I wanted to ask you directly, I have a super hi fi box 850 so could you suggest a decent amplifier or an upgrade – recap (I read bout some russian capacitors etc.)

I don’t advice a “recap” of your box 850…if you don’t want to make it worse.
You need a full CCI system and correctly installed.
All Grundig amps of that period are excellent, you are spoiled for choice, you can see here:
