May I ask for an advice

Dear Signore Ambrosini,
I admire your passion and expertise in the field of Hi-Fi audio.
I am new to the Hi-Fi world and I rely on advice from experienced people like yourself. I have a rather basic question which I hope you would help me with.
I have a Grundig R 3000 receiver and amplifier, and am in a need of proper speakers that would do well in a smaller flat/apartment. I have found several options on the local market, all Grundig speakers: M600, M800, Box 250a, CT 300a, BOX 5500, Box 313, Box 660 and maybe some others. I could possibly also find speakers from some other manufacturers.
What speakers would you recommend to go with Grundig R 3000?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Nikola xxxxxxx

Dear Nikola,
There are no coupling problems in Grundig systems and for a small room the power of the R3000 is always sufficient. The choice of the speakers must instead be made according to the room and the location it should have. Will it be placed on a shelf, on wall or on a stand?
What are the room dimensions?
Regards
Massimo

Dear Massimo,
Thank you for your reply.
The size of the room is approx. 3 x 7 m (image attached).
I must confess, I haven’t realized the placement of the speakers plays such an important role. I imagined it to keep them on the floor at first, before placing them on a shelf (after I acquire one or two). I was mostly concerned regarding the compatibility between the Grundig R 3000 and the speakers: if I could connect, let’s say Grundig M 800, which is 60/90 W speaker, to R 3000, which is 2 x 50 / 2 x 75 W amp; or should I search for smaller speakers?
Best regards,
Nikola

Dear Nikola
I go back to saying: it’s not a power problem, don’t worry about that! With floorstanding speakers you should also buy the stands (to stay in Grundig) and if you then put them in front of cabinet you would be very close to the speakers (since the wall is just 3m). My advice is to choose bookshelf speakers to install on the cabinet depicted in the project. In this case the best choice is a two-way speaker that you can choose between Box 300, 400, 500 … or if you like the three ways more I would also add the 600 and at most the 800. The Box1000 in your particular room made at L I’m afraid they are already exuberant on the bass frequency. Find more info to others model here: https://hifiaudio.altervista.org/grundig-story/

Thank you very much for your advice, Massimo.
