Hello Massimo – I am pleased you are still running your website – I live in the UK but would really like to travel down and hear a full Grundig system in your listening environment.
Anyway I have some questions which are not included in your FAQ.
Will I hear some benefits of a Grundig V1700 amplifier if the rest of my system is not CCI?
I also have to ask you what DAC do you recommend because I do not play CDs or Vinyl. Perhaps a vintage DAC? Perhaps a new DAC?
My current system is the following:
Auralic Aries Mini (streamer)
Audio Note 0.1x DAC
Yamaha AS 801 amplifier
Speakers
1 Role Audio Enterprise
2 Vintage IMF Super Compact loudspeakersChristian xxxxxx

I think that the combination V1700 -IMF sc is excellent, a lot also depends on the coupling with the environment, the pedestals, the cables used … etc, etc.
Unfortunately, in the audio field, the most difficult thing is to attribute the blame to item right. I advise you to read the whole site very carefully, it can come in handy.

Thank you – I have read your website and the only thing that’s missing is what separate DAC do you recommend for connecting externally to a streamer (I use a Squeezebox Touch streamer). I would use the coax connection and I would like to know if you recommend any coax cables too?

The CCI approach is completely different from what is sold for gold on the market and is based on how much the ear actually perceives and the real (and not based on mental guess) causes of sound degradation. But everything passes through experience … with little money you can try a Grundig system with amplification and CD player combined with your IMF speakersand you will see that it is a very different listening experience from the usual. Then from the observation of the facts you can start a different path … much more aware. You don’t solve anything with external dacs and optical connections believe me.

OK thanks. Well I have a Grundig V1700 amplifier with included Grundig interconnects – I have IMF Super Compact Speakers – now to finish my Grundig system so I understand the sound:
Please recommend speaker cable – I need 5 metre pairs
Please recommend a CD player that is easily available and cheap here in the UK
Lastly – do you have a CCI optimised Pioneer N30 AE?
After this I can learn the Grundig sound as you say.
